Tadhana

The story behind my tattoos.

A week ago, I got two tattoos done in one day and it was actually my first time. I have always wanted to get tattoos done for quite some time, and after months of thinking of what I should get and finding a good and trustworthy tattoo artist, here I am. 

This first one holds a special place in my heart. These symbols mean, "God is greater than the highs and lows." My faith in God plays a big role in my life. Throughout my life, I have gone through a lot of rough patches, but that doesn't stop me from living my best life. There is a reason why God let me go through all these struggles and pains, because they have molded me into a stronger person day by day. I can't help but thank God every day for the blessings and lessons he has given me. He has allowed me to embrace and see my truest self.

My second one, I originally wanted it to say blessed. But, a couple days before I was scrolling through beautiful words in tagalog. I came across the word "tadhana."

"Tadhana" is a tagalog word in the filipino language that means fate. Growing up, I have watched filipino soap operas everyday. Many people can say I'm just a hopeless romantic, but I truly believe in true love. We can experience many loves, but there will be one in particular that will be different among the rest. The one person that is destined to be with you for the rest of your life. This love will be unlike no other that it will take time till you meet that someone. Your forever love. No matter how much time has passed, this love will never leave your heart. When that time comes, you will have found your own, "tadhana."
