Blessings.

I believe the greatest blessings in our lives are the struggles that we face each and every day. You might think I'm crazy, or you might even agree with me. But, hear me out when I say that this is true.
Whenever I am faced with difficulties in my life, my mom would always tell me to pray and trust in God. (Mama knows best! haha) She's right because God doesn't put us through situations we cannot handle. He knows we can endure this all because we strong and we are his warriors.
It may seem easier said than done, but I'm sure that if you're going through something now, you won't be forever. Allow time to be your best friend and guide. Trust in the process. Most especially, trust in God because he knows what's best for you. He will make a way for you, and you'll realize why everything had to happen the way it did.
I've learned through experience how these struggles and pains have turned into blessings in disguise. I feel that I've become a stronger person throughout every trial in my life. I have God to thank because he's allowed me to open my eyes to things I've failed to see. The more trials come my way, I feel that I've become more aware, stronger, smarter, and loving.
In order for us to grow as individuals, we must go through the lows to reach the highs in our life. Life isn't always going to happy- go- lucky, and that's okay. We live, we learn, and we thrive to the fullest.
A year ago, my dad had a stroke and was hospitalized for about a month. If you knew me, you would know I didn't have the best relationship with my dad. But, seeing my dad in the hospital suffering, it hurt me so much. No matter the circumstances, I still love my dad. After numerous visits to the hospital, I decided to have a change of heart.
It warmed my heart seeing my mom taking care of him. I remember when my mom told him, that this was his second chance at life. A chance for him to change his ways because he wasn't getting any younger. Sometimes, I feel that we need that you know? A wake up call for us to reevaluate our lives. Honestly, my dad is so lucky to have my mom by his side, and I pray to have something special like that one day. I knew my dad needed my mom and I more than anything else in the world.
Because of this situation, my dad decided to join CFC-FFL with my mom. My dad used to pass the opportunity of joining, but decided to have a change of heart. He opened his heart and mind to God and I am so proud of him. Seeing my parents go to households, assemblies, and other special events in the community made me feel like such a proud daughter.
When we experience difficulties or heartaches, remember that the situation is something that will pass. In my experience, I've learned to stay faithful, prayerful, and trust that God knows what is best. I know God is always looking out for me in so many ways, I know his plan is better than my own. I find myself blessed with everything around me. Blessed to be in a good place in my life.
I believe God can give us the toughest blessings because he wants to mold us into his greatest warriors. Warriors who are able to share their special gifts to the world and those around them.
