Chapter 5: Is it too late?
It’s never too late to do what makes you happy. Whether it could be doing something you love, confessing your love to someone, or chasing that lifelong dream of yours. If there’s one important lesson life has taught me, it is living your life to the fullest. Don’t let your fears get in the way of your own happiness. You deserve to be happy so take that leap of faith. If you truly want something, don’t stop until you get to where want to be.
When I was younger, I used to believe in having a timeline. When I would finish school, get married, and have kids. Honestly, as much as I wanted it to happen at a certain age in my life I’m glad it didn’t. When the time is right, everything I’ve always wanted and dreamed of will fall into place. Now that’s not to say that I’m not gonna work for what I want. It is more of me trusting in God and the universe that what is for me, will be for me.
God has truly blessed me with unending opportunities that have molded me into the woman I am today. I truly believe I am exactly where I am meant to be at this very moment in my life. Although it hasn’t been easy, I’m happy to see the progress I’ve made thus far. I think it such a beautiful feeling to know and acknowledge where I was then and where I am now. It definitely took a lot of time, effort, prayers, but most importantly the love from my friends and loved ones. I know in my heart that I want to be the change that I want to see in the world.
It is important to acknowledge that you’re not behind in life, you are learning and growing into the best version of yourself. There were so many lessons to be learned to get you to where you are this moment. Everyone is going through life at their own pace, so focus on yourself and your wellbeing. I promise it isn’t going to be easy, but it will worth the wait trust me. Be patient with yourself. Don’t lose sight of where you are now, you have so much power within yourself. You are much stronger than you may think.
