Adventure Awaits

Worry less, Travel more.

One of my many goals this year is to definitely travel more.

My first trip this past month was in Barcelona, Spain. It was one of the most beautiful places I’ve been to in awhile. I had the opportunity to go by myself and really explore some of Barcelona’s beautiful sights. I know what you guys are thinking, “BY YOURSELF?” Yes, honestly I was a bit nervous but I knew I had to just do it. I wanted to take the time to really self reflect and let my mind wander freely. It’s not everyday you get to go out of the country and have enough “me” time.

Change your perspective and allow yourself to open your mind to the possibilities of growth. Have the chance to learn new things and most especially go to all the places you’ve never been.

There is so much to discover out there in the world, as individuals let’s go after our own curiosity. Let’s be open to what the world has for us. You don’t necessarily have to travel out of the country, but travel to the places you’ve never been to. Get uncomfortable, enjoy the sights, and chase after the experiences you’ve always dreamed of.

The weather out there was a little better compared to Jersey, I could wear a light coat with long sleeves and it would fine. I loved being able to walk in the city and there would be little restaurants near my hotel. I loved walking to places and taking the train was my favorite. I was able to capture golden hour by the water and let me tell you, it was breathtaking. It felt good to take a step back from work, and actually enjoy a well deserved vacation.

While I was there, I felt bittersweet because I wish I could tag someone along with me. But, I wanted to experience this for myself this time around. I felt like I was back home, taking the Metro wherever I needed to go. The reason I chose to travel to Barcelona is because of a tagalog movie I watched called, “Barcelona: A Love Untold.” In that movie, they visited the Sagrada Familia and Park Guell, and it had me dreaming of the day I would have the opportunity to go there.

I never expected myself to visit Barcelona so soon, but you know sometimes you just gotta do the unexpected and surprise yourself. Always remember, be kind to yourself because you deserve the world. There’s a whole new world out there just waiting to be discovered.
