Find your happiness. Sometimes we have the tendency to think about the things that are going wrong in our life. Trials happen here and there, but that does not mean we cannot strive for happiness. Think about what makes YOU happy. My happiness is spending quality time with my family and friends. What is your happiness?
Find your purpose. I found my purpose through serving others. I know I am called to make a difference, inspire, and help those in need. This is not something I processed overnight, it took time. But first, ask yourself, “What is my purpose in life?” Once you've answered that question, figure out ways in which you can fulfill your purpose.
Find your love. I don’t mean find yourself a significant other. But, I mean find something that you love to do and do it for yourself. Whether it be taking a trip to a different country, going to a concert, going out with friends, do whatever makes YOU happy. At the end of the day, you'll thank yourself for the things you've done rather than the things you missed out on.
Find your faith. Honestly, I don't think I would be the person I am today without my faith in God. Ever since I joined my community, I found God's love. He made the strong person I am today and I can't thank him enough for the challenges life has to offer. The truth behind trials in our life is that we become stronger individuals. "I can do all things through him, who gives me strength (Philippians 4:13)". God gives trials to his strongest soldiers. Whatever you are going through, something good will come out of it.
Be open minded. Everyone is different in their own special way. The people whom we meet could be a blessing or a lesson in disguise. Let's learn from one another and grow into the best version of ourselves. Furthermore, don't close the door on opportunities that have been given to you. Take a chance and see it where it may lead you!
Be grateful. Take the time and reflect about all the accomplishments in your life at this very moment. Whether big or small, you have achieved it! You have come this far in life, don't give up. More blessings are coming with your name on it!
Be patient. When things don't go our way, we have the tendency to grow impatient. As individuals, we strive to get to where we want to be. Whether it is fixing a broken heart, finding a significant other, graduating, wanting to get married, etc. Realize that time is everything. Trust that in time, everything will fall into place as it should.
Everything happens for a reason. Whether it could be good or bad, there is a reason behind everything. You may not see it now, but whatever happened is going to benefit you in the long run. Life changes, it goes on and we have to keep on striving to better ourselves.
- Let go and forgive. Instead of having bitter feelings, be better. It will take some time but learn to not only forgive yourself, but the people who have hurt you in the past. If you don't rid yourself of those hurt feelings, you will be stagnant. Allow yourself to be free and happy because you deserve it.
- Set goals for yourself. Make a list of things in your life that you want to achieve whether it be long term goals or things you want to achieve before the end of the year. Set your mind in the right direction. Have faith in yourself that you will achieve these goals no matter how far they may seem at the moment!
